Watch the twitter public timeline geographically with Atlas (Fresh Logic Studios). The twitter option is under the "experimental" tab. Atlas can do a lot more that just watching other twitters. This is definitely a website to bookmark - highly recommended.
A similar service is twittervision. It always shows twitter activity on a map, but it is not nearly as impressive as Atlas. It only shows one twitter at a time.
